Why We Built This Site
Mississippi gives the public broad access to court and county records, and the difficulty is almost never the law. It is working out which office is holding the piece you need. A warrant does not sit in one place. The judge who signs it decides the charge and the release terms; the sheriff's office or a city police department may be the one actually carrying the paperwork; and a bench warrant for a missed setting stays with the court that set the date, which in Chickasaw County can mean a Justice Court post or a municipal court rather than any county office at all. Mississippi also has no public statewide warrant search to fall back on, because the state's criminal information exchange is restricted to law enforcement. That combination makes it easy to call one number, hear that nothing is on file, and wrongly conclude you are clear. We gather the contacts, the court structure, the request routes, and the local terminology into one place so a reader starts in the right spot.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant lookups: how a warrant search actually works here, office by office, when no portal exists
- Outstanding process: what active warrants mean on a Mississippi docket and why absence from a list proves nothing
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise and which Chickasaw County court is holding one
- Charge-based process: how arrest warrants are issued under Mississippi Rule 3.2 and who serves them
- Resolving a warrant: the routes a court may allow, from an attorney's call to a reset, a bond, or a motion to recall or quash
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. There is no connection between us and any Mississippi court, the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Office, or any state agency. The limits on what we can help with are real:
- We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone, or run an official check
- We cannot recall, quash, clear, or remove a warrant from any system
- We cannot accept a payment, a fine, or a bond of any kind
- We cannot schedule a court date, arrange a surrender, or set up a walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a particular warrant applies to you
- We cannot promise that every number, address, or officeholder listed here is current today
Only the Chickasaw County court that issued the process, or the agency holding it for service, can confirm that a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. We can point you to the right counter. The answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are run by third-party providers. Those companies operate their own services and set their own prices. If using one of those tools leads to a paid signup, we may receive a referral fee, and that revenue is what keeps this site free to read. We do not control their pricing, their coverage, or what their results contain, and nothing they return is an official Mississippi warrant check.
